Government applies Akz 3 billion to fight poverty
Malanje - The Provincial Government of Malanje has disbursed just over 3.7 billion kwanzas for the implementation of actions included in the Integrated Programme for Local Development and Combating Poverty, relating to the year 2019.

The information, which comes in the final statement of the First Ordinary Session of the Provincial Government, which took place last Tuesday, highlights that the mentioned amount was used to purchase equipment and agricultural inputs, especially tractors and motorbikes, cultivators, as well as land allotment for the benefit of farmers' associations.
The referred amount was also intended for the implementation of production actions within the scope of MOSAP II (Family Agriculture and Commercialization Project) and the purchase of mills and the repair of social equipment, in addition to the implementation of various projects to support ex-soldiers and vulnerable families in the province.
The amount is part of a total of over Akz 4.7 billion spent last year, from which the Malanje government channelled money to investments and other activities aimed at the socio-economic development of the province.
The 1st Ordinary Session of the Provincial Government ws aimed at assessing the degree of compliance with the recommendations of the previous meeting, the annual plan of activities of the provincial government for the year 2019, Integrated Programme for Local Development and Combating Poverty, the state of the implementation of the PIIM (Integrated Municipal Intervention Plan), local response plan to Covid-19, among other matters.
The meeting was attended by provincial directors and municipal administrators.
