Covid-19: EPP produces over thousand masks/month

Caxito - At least 1,200 face masks are produced monthly, since last March, at the Escola Polivalente e Profissional (EPP) of Bengo, for the protection of the populations against Covid-19.

The institution produces 40 masks daily and intends, according to the requests, to increase to 100/day, making a total of three thousand masks/month.

In addition to masks, the centre also produces an unspecified number of visors, mostly ordered by schools in the municipality of Dande.

According to the trainer of the centre, José Filho Muginga Pascoal, who was talking to Angop about the production of these protective equipment, the cutting and sewing centre has two rooms with an installed capacity for 42 machines, with two teachers, out of the four existing.

Also known as "Children's Town", the centre makes, by order, curtains, aprons, handles, crockery cloths, tablecloths, school gowns and other articles.
