The official made the appeal during the opening session of a capacity-building action of the key points of the "SOS Criança" network, created in June as part of the African Child Day marked on June 16.

Margarida Ndembo explained that the commitment aims to prevent many situations against child from getting worse or becoming cases of extreme violence.

The "SOS Criança" network is a free and confidential telephone service created by INAC with aim of reporting cases of violence against children, through free calls to terminal 15015, in order to protect children and thus avoid situations of violence that jeopardize their lives.

INAC received from January to June five cases of violence against children, controlled 15 registered in the same period of 2019. Therefore, the institution wants the population to be involved in reporting cases to defend their rights, the official said.
