Covid-19: TAAG resumes international flights Tuesday
Luanda - Angola’s National Air Company (TAAG) resumes this Tuesday (22) the international operations, with the "commercial flights" of passengers, to Portugal and Brazil, in the light of Presidential Decree nº 229/20, of 8 September.

Angop learnt that the first operation of this restart of activities is scheduled for Lisbon (Portugal), at 11:30 am, with the return scheduled for the early hours of Wednesday (two in the morning), involving a Boeing 777-300 .
The selective commercial flights, initially scheduled for this Monday (the 21st), under the aforementioned decree, TAAG will make Luanda / Lisbon / Luanda route, three times a week: on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
To São Paulo (Brazil), there will be a flight every fortnight, on Friday, also at 11:30 pm, with return at dawn on Saturday.
For boarding international flights to and from Angola, the passenger must present an RT PCR test, with a negative result, conducted 72 hours before the trip.
In relation to domestic (interprovincial) flights, it is mandatory to present serological tests, with a negative result, conducted 72h00 or one hour before the trip.
TAAG suspended domestic and international flights on the 20th of March, as part of the restrictions measures imposed by Covid-19, having resumed interprovincial operations on the 14th of this month.
The "commercial flights" that restart today do not include travel in tourism and leisure, being only reserved for passengers with a work / business visa; seeking medical treatment; diplomats and students.
Likewise, official delegations and citizens residing in one of these countries. For this purpose, they do not need authorisation, and must comply with similar bureaucratic and / or administrative procedures, in addition to carrying out the covid-19 test (72h00 before the trip).

Luanda - Portugal Airline (TAP) is resuming its commercial flights to Luanda (Angola) from Lisbon (Portugal) as from Monday (21), at a time Angola is officially re-opening its air space to international flights, after it gave green light to domestic flights earlier on September 14 this year.
