Malanje is rich and has wonderful natural and historical points. Pungo Andongo Black Stones and Kalandula Falls are reasons to wonder any tourist due to its greatness. Bongo Mount and Queen Nzinga table is also subject of attraction in the region.



This is the biggest dam of the country.

The province has many other places of tourist interest, such as Musselenge waterfalls, 95 km far from Malanje city and good for bath; Amor spring and Amor mouth, located 15 km from the city and that is where River Malanje begins.

It is located in Quela municipality, 115 kilometres from the city of Malanje, and has a view of rare beauty.


Kangandala National Park

About 600 square kilometers and is especially rich in species of birds such as brave ducks, capotas, partridge, pigeons, among other species. We also find here the Giant black antelope.

With an area of 200 square kilometers, the Samba-Lucala forest reserve with 400 square kilometers. There is also the Luando Natural Reserve situated between the provinces of Malanje and BIE, with an area of 8,280 km2.

There are also, in some cemeteries that matter to mention for its historical importance, Are the cemetery of Cambundi-Catembo, Kizengo, in the municipalities of Caculama and Cacuso where are buried many who revolted against the colonial forces.

It is home to one of the rarer antelopes in the world and that only exists in Malanje. It is the symbol of the TAAG air COMPANY and the Angola national football team.
